Beaches in Loulé
There are five main beaches round Loulé
Quarteria
The seafront promenade is lined with restaurants, shops and bars. Nicely sheltered for families, this very long sandy beach is the local attraction. Fishing on the beach is also popular.
Vila sol
A short drive away to Quinta do Lago is the Vila Sol Beach Club: timber built, surrounded by terraces, and with two excellent restaurants. And just beyond is the beach, decked with sun lounges, leading down to the crystal blue ocean - the beach is the winner of several local and European awards, including the European Blue Rig for cleanliness and friendly customer service.
Falesia
A long and sandy beach, backed by distinctive red cliffs which run from Vilamoura Marina to Olhos d’Agua. Good water sport facilities are on offer and there is a lifeguard situated at the Vilamoura end.
Vale de Lobo
Beautiful sandy beach of the world class golf and holiday resort of Vale do Lobo near Almancil. The resort greatly endeavours to protect this natural beauty below the cliffs against sea erosion.
Marina de Vilamoura
The wide sandy beach stretches from the marina of Vilamoura to the east until the fishing port of the neighbouring Quarteira. The flat beach is well protected by breakwaters and convenient for kids
